In 2009 Kutiman released ThruYOU, an online music video project mixed from samples of YouTube videos. After disclosing his work to just twenty friends, Kutiman’s project spread virally across the web, racking up more than one million views in less than a week.

We’re huge fans of “What If The World…” projects. The Design Studio (housed in the orginal post-box sized gallery space on Hope St in Cape Town) is “focused on creating opportunities, outlets, projects, and events for emerging South African designers.” It’s a great space to find designer furniture product, with designers Liam Mooney and Adriaan Hugo currently exhibiting.
